Introduction
My scientific work concentrates aims to understand the failure mechanism of both amorphous and crystalline materials at several different scales.
Two major topics can be highlighted: the work done on silicate glasses and the numerical concept modeling fracture with phase-field method.
Silicate glasses
The design strength of silicate glasses are determined through atomic, micro, meso and macro-scale analysis.
Diffuse fracture
Crack propagation is modeled using a phase-field approach to approximate damage in brittle materials.
